Utsav Camp is a serene and peaceful getaway for you to unplug, relax and recharge. We are located near Sariska National Park, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There is no WiFi in the rooms or public areas and data connectivity is minimal. This gives you an ideal reason to take a break from the virtual world, and plug into nature. If however, you do need to connect, our office area has Wifi available for our guests.

As a nature sanctuary surrounded by the Aravali Mountains, the landscape and environment change with the seasons.

We’ve put together some special tips and packing lists for you according to season.

SEASONS GUIDE

SUMMER

Mid-April till June

The summer is hot and dry in the Tehla region with many of the leaves and flora drying up. The landscape becomes a study in beige and brown.

MONSOON

July till mid-September

During a healthy monsoon season the landscape around Tehla transforms into a lush green and many areas fill with rain water to create temporary water bodies that attract birds, buffaloes and other wild animals. It’s hard to believe that you are in Rajasthan!

WINTER

November till mid-March

The coldest winter months of December and January can be quite windy and temperatures can drop to around 5 degrees Celsius at night. Our rooms provide heaters and it’s an ideal time to enjoy fire pits, bonfires and barbecue!

SUMMER

Summer

This time of year is ideal for animal sightings during safaris because visibility ranges are increased. It’s harder for animals to hide because the lush brush and bush after the monsoon have dried out and fallen away.

Temperatures can soar during the hottest months of May and June to 45+ degrees Celsius, and while all of our indoor spaces are air conditioned, your packing list should include:

  • Sunglasses

  • Hat with broad brim

  • Light scarf (if you don’t have a hat you can use the scarf to cover your head during safaris or excursions in our open air jeep)

  • Light cotton tops and bottoms

  • Comfortable walking sandals and shoes

  • Shorts

  • Bug spray or cream

  • Your favorite swim suit to enjoy refreshing dips in the pool

  • Favorite summer dress or dress shorts to enjoy drinks on the rooftop lounge in the evenings

While the monsoon brings much needed rain to the region, it’s also a time when it’s quite humid and bugs, mosquitoes and small lizards like to come out to play! To reduce and avoid bugs and lizards in rooms, keep doors and windows closed.

Bugs are attracted to lights so we advise keeping the lights off in your room when not in use.
Avoid the use of strong perfumes and heavy scents which attract bugs and animals.

Your packing list should include:

  • Bug spray or cream (apply as necessary)

  • Light cotton pants and tops

  • Waterproof sandals or shoes

  • Light rain jacket for excursions or safaris

  • That book you’ve been meaning to get to... you can relax under the covered rooftop lounge with your favorite drink and book, as the sound and scent of monsoon rains soothe your soul.
