The Vision Behind the Hand-Painted Map

Every great journey begins with a map. At Utsav Camp Sariska, we created a Naturalist Map of Sariska Tiger Reserve—not just as an artwork, but as a Sariska travel guide for our guests.

The project was envisioned by Dhanya Venkatesh, our Camp Manager and naturalist, and Luv Shekhawat, our Managing Director and trained hotelier. Together, they designed a map that highlights:

  • Key wildlife trails
  • Safari routes and birdwatching zones
  • Eco-friendly cottages and camp pathways

This map is both practical for travellers and a celebration of the landscapes around us.

Creating the Map in Just 7 Days

Two talented artists transformed a plain wall into a masterpiece in just seven days. With guidance from our naturalists, they painted every detail with precision. We filmed the process in a time-lapse video, allowing guests to watch the map evolve from faint pencil sketches into a vibrant work of art.

Wildlife and Nature on the Map

The most enchanting part of the artwork is how it brings Sariska’s wildlife to life. The map illustrates:

This detailed artistry ensures the map isn’t just beautiful—it’s an accurate travel companion for exploring the reserve.

For international visitors seeking responsible tourism in India, this map reflects our ethos of blending art, conservation, and guest experience.

Watch the Time-Lapse Magic

Our time-lapse video condenses seven days of creativity into a few minutes—showcasing patience, skill, and the spirit of Indian craftsmanship.
